Class Details:
This class is for students with Above-Average Python Skills. Students will take skills they have learned and practiced, to create this large extensive classic Alien Invader game. The game will introduce students to the use of sprites, audio files, and folder organization.
Students will also learn how to use multiple Python files, to create a working game. The class will be a mixture of given code to follow along with, and interactive skill tests where students will either: A) complete code or B) find and fix errors. This is a very in-depth game and will really challenge students. Students will also learn how to install Python libraries using the 'pip' installation tool. You must install the Python environment from the Python website. Link below.
Note: This class requires that students have above-average computer literacy, typing, and Python skills.

Make sure to download Windows Installer 64-bit. Download macOS 64-bit if using an Apple computer/laptop
MUST use a laptop or desktop. No Chromebooks, tablets, or iPads. (Unless using Zoom on a separate device, which is highly recommended)

Hi, I'm Mr. Cardenas! I have 3 years of teaching experience with Elementary, Middle, and High School Students. I have over 6 years of experience tutoring Elementary to Freshman College Students. All kids have different learning styles and can not be taught the same way. Understanding how one student thinks, how one learns and processes information is key to a successful session. Not only that it will keep them engaged, and interested.
