Class Details:
This class is designed for children who want to express their love and appreciation for their fathers or the father figures in their lives through poetry. In this class, you will learn about different types of poetry, such as rhyming and free verse, and explore various poetic devices such as metaphors, similes, and personification.
Through guided writing exercises, you will have the opportunity to draft and revise your own poem and receive feedback from your peers and the instructor. By the end of this class, you will have a unique and heartfelt poem that captures the essence of your loved one and showcases your creativity and writing skills.

Unfortunately, this class does not allow drop-ins. Each class builds upon prior classes.
Instructor's Bio:
Marcie has been working with children and the arts for over 20 years. She is a licensed preschool and elementary teacher with a master’s degree in the creative arts-integrated curriculum. She has studied at NYU’s musical theater conservatory and travelled the world as a singer/songwriter with top 10 major label dance releases. She wrote and recorded a children’s album, and regularly performs children’s music all over New England.
