Is your child struggling with reading comprehension? Did you know that naturally good readers are also naturally good at drawing their own conclusions and generating inferences from implied information? However, not everyone is born with these essential reading skills. Oftentimes, when a teacher says that a student displays below-average reading comprehension, it's because they have never been taught these skills step-by-step. That is, until now! Join Ms. Heather as she teaches your child to "read between the lines" one step at a time to become a reading comprehension superstar! Activities will begin with simple exercises that require students to draw conclusions based on given clues and culminate in determining the theme, character's traits, author's point of view, etc., in longer passages based on evidence from the texts.
*Unfortunately, this class does not allow drop-ins. Each class builds upon prior classes.
Important note: our system will send you the link to join the class 30 minutes prior to the start time of the class.
