Class Details:
Good readers can interpret the more abstract ideas presented in text, however, not everyone is naturally born with these skills. But the good news is anyone can learn how to do it! In this five-session course, learners will be taught step-by-step how to collect the clues authors leave behind to help them analyze everything they need to know about characters: their traits, motivation, point of view, and how their actions advance the events of the story. Students will practice these skills by reading a variety of exciting fiction genres, such as science fiction, historical fiction, and contemporary fiction.
*Unfortunately, this class does not allow drop-ins. Each class builds upon prior classes.
