Description: In this engaging webinar, students will embark on an exciting journey into the world of fiction by drawing inspiration from the beloved character and narrative of the "Elf on a Shelf." The instructor will guide students through a "Sneak Peek" into the fiction writing process, where students will become proficient storytellers and develop a deep understanding of the art of crafting compelling narratives.
Throughout the four-day course, the instructor will introduce students to the enchanting realm of the "Elf on a Shelf." They will delve into the history and origins of this endearing character, providing a rich context for the creative journey ahead. The instructor will also share the fascinating backstory of the Elf, its role in holiday traditions, and the enchantment it brings to the holiday season.
Instructor's Bio:
Marcie has been working with children and the arts for over 20 years. She is a licensed preschool and elementary teacher with a master’s degree in the creative arts-integrated curriculum. She has studied at NYU’s musical theater conservatory and travelled the world as a singer/songwriter with top 10 major label dance releases. She wrote and recorded a children’s album, and regularly performs children’s music all over New England.
