    How I Work With Kids
    • I try to build a rapport with students as quickly as possible and match their energy.
    • I ask them about their interests and try to incorporate them into class in some way.
    • I am patient, and kind, and work hard to meet each student where they are, build on their strengths, and work to strengthen other areas.  I also use fun, educational games to keep students engaged throughout the class.

    Experience
    • I have experience tutoring in a local elementary school and have been teaching and tutoring privately online since 2012.
    • I have tutored/taught preschool, Prek, K-8th reading, math, ESL, and more. 
    • I have experience teaching children from different countries and cultures, ages 2.5 and up.
    •  I completed an internship in middle school as a school social worker, helping with academics, organization, study skills, etc. 
    • I have also completed an internship as a foster care social worker, leading individual and group counseling and conflict resolution group.
