How I Work With Kids
- Working with children comes naturally to me, because I am a lifelong learner who loves to share information with others. I creatively engage the students and use real world examples to help your child. I personalize every lesson to meet the students’ needs and interests. By using fun and exciting content, specific materials in the lesson, students enjoy themselves and are happy to participate. Praise is my main form of motivation, however if a student makes a mistake, I turn it into a learning moment for the student, in which the student feels comfortable.

- We love Testing Mom classes and our tutor Ms. Lorey is the best. She spends so much time with my child making sure she is comprehending and enjoying the material. She is also willing to work alongside parents to help with the learning process. She finds innovative ways to make learning fun but also sticks! My child has excelled tremendously with her.
- Testing Mom was very helpful for my child and my child was always excited to join the Testing mom class and her teacher Miss Lorey was a very good teacher and she taught very well and gave additional homework and Miss Lorey taught with patience and always gave attention - I would recommend Testing Mom!
- My son got into HiCap! He did exceptionally - 100% math and 96% reading (combined cogat and Iowa), and they actually didn’t even count TTCT or Iowa science because the 4th graders who previously tested into hicap didn’t take those tests. He is really happy with the result as are we. Thank you so much for your patience and hard work with him! It was wonderful to have you as a tutor!
- Alex passed the gifted test! The school will be reaching out after the break with his gifted education program. Thank you for all your help! You are amazing!
- Lorey’s support is critical in expanding the knowledge base and addressing advanced learning skills of my children who are in gifted educational programs.
- Our Daughter was your student last December and I would like to let you know that she did great in the CPS SEES test and got an offer from Skinner North, which is one of the best selective elementary school in CPS system. Thank you for being a great teacher to her!
- Teacher Lorey was amazing to work with. She was able to build a great rapport with our son, who was successful in his test after the 10 lessons we did together. Miss Lorey was patient, knowledgeable, kind and helpful. We look forward to working with her again for our daughter.
- TestingMom.com is wonderful! Our tutor Lorey connected quickly with our daughter Alice and has been very invested in her success. She has taught us tips and tricks to master the COGAT while keeping things light and fun. We are so pleased!Lorey is such an amazing tutor! She is super knowledgeable and has a great teaching style. She had sincere interest in my son and after working with him he constantly asked about her! She was able to identify knowledge gaps and help us fill them in and makes those areas strengths. The rapport she develops with the kids is AMAZING. Months later, he still asks about her. She went above and beyond to make sure he understood if he struggled in an area. Once when he had a mini meltdown, she was able to speak to him in such a way that he was able to recover and gain back control.Highly recommend Lorey! It's not everyday you find people like her and the way she cares for children along with the ability to guide and teach.
- We have had a great experience! My son has used Lorey for tutoring and he loves her. She is attentive and makes him feel comfortable.
- Teacher Ms. Lorey was great. She was very familiar with the whole school testing system (we live in Chicago) and had concrete recommendations for my kid to improve his scores. Thanks to Ms. Lorey, he did get into one of the gifted programs in Chicago, which was a surprise to all of us :)

- Tutor Lorey did an amazing job tutoring my son for the gifted program in our area. She was kind and helped him to learn both substance and useful tricks for test taking. She was absolutely worth the investment!
- Our experience with the teacher Lorey G was just exceptional. she was kind, skilled and patient with our child. she set him on right path with correct amount of guidance and nudging. she also was constantly communicating with parent, so we can be in sync with what needs to be worked on outside of the class. she also listened to parent's feedback about what the child needs and adjusted her lessons and approach accordingly. It was a pleasure working with Lorey and would for sure reach out to her in the future if needed. Sales - On the flip side, overall initial sales experience was time consuming, confusing and outdated. i had to call and contact multiple times to understand what different packages include. first customer representative i spoke with didn't really understand what i was looking for. Then I had to schedule a call with a sales representative and buy through him. he was alright and knowledgable. but in today's world having to work through sales people is not really what i expected. it should be all self serviceable in clean and transparent pricing on the website itself.
