Workshop for kindergartners to 6th graders
When it comes to fractions, there’s a huge divide among kids: 1/2 avoid them because of how abstract they are, and the other 1/2 embrace them because of how concrete they are. In fact, when kids first learn fractions – i.e. dividing a cookie in 1/2 or eating 1/8 of a pizza, they love them! But after fractions are introduced in school, many kids get turned off. Whether your child loves or avoids fractions, they’re invited to enjoy a fraction fundamentals lesson from Kara, one of our top math teachers. From 3rd to 8th grade (even to 12th grade, really!), fractions make up a big part of your child’s math curriculum, so let’s embrace them and make sure we understand the basics! Fractions don’t have to be scary, and in today’s lesson your child will discover why. Moms and dads, this is a good review for you as well!
