Description

In this course, students will work with our instructors to practice specific approaches to each test question type for the Verbal portions of the CogAT, and OLSAT. Students will learn how words and sentences relate to each other and how to interpret nuances in language. Students will also learn how to gather and manipulate information, increase vocabulary efficiency, and verbal memory.

We will build testing confidence through targeted practice activities. Students will study the principles of handling each type of question, they will get tips and strategies to help them answer different question types, and they will work through plenty of practice questions so they will know just what to expect when taking the actual test.

Students will gain a better understanding of the following concepts:

  • Effective Test-Taking Procedures and Strategies
  • CogAT Verbal- (Sentence Completion, Verbal Classification, and Verbal Analogies)
  • OLSAT Verbal- (Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Sentence Arrangement, Logical Selection, Word/Letter Matrix, Verbal Analogies, Classification Inference)
