Description

Many states' standardized tests currently include a Simulated Research Writing Task. This analytical writing assessment provides several nonfiction texts on a particular topic and a writing prompt. Students must analyze the texts, make a claim about the subject, and synthesize evidence from the texts to support their claims. Students will develop a thesis and write a five-paragraph essay with an introduction, well-developed body paragraphs supporting the thesis, and text evidence with elaboration, citations, appropriate transitions, and a conclusion.

Hi Heather, I wanted to let you know that Sully did great on his Woodcock-Johnson testing in Jacksonville last week. The school we are applying to administered it privately, but they shared the results with me. I thought you would like to know since he took so many reading classes with you to prepare. He’s loved having your classes and did fantastic on his Woodcock-Johnson test. Thanks for everything!
