Scratch is a free visual programming language and online community. It was designed to help kids learn how to program visually with blocks that snap together to create a group of instructions, known as scripts. These scripts control objects, known as sprites, in your projects. This is a beginner-level class for students who have no or limited experience in block-based coding.
Students will use Scratch to code their own interactive stories, animations, and games. In the process, they will learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively? — essential skills for everyone in today’s society.

Instructor Bio:
She has over 5 years of experience working in the software development industry. She enjoys teaching computer science concepts in a creative way, inspiring girls to code, and teaching them new skills.In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing the piano, and running. In our current world, we know that coding jobs are in high demand with a lack of qualified talent.
Education:
Diane has a Computer Science degree from Florida International University and is currently working towards her Master's in Computer Science.
