This course provides instruction and practice in common aspects of grammar and mechanics often found in standardized tests and English Language Arts classrooms. Students will learn about and practice identifying grammar & mechanics errors in text as well as editing text for the following concepts:
Instructor-recommended materials for improving spelling, vocabulary and grammar/mechanics skills will be provided each session, as well as weekly homework to practice skills learned during sessions.
*Unfortunately, this class does not allow drop-ins. Each class builds upon prior classes.

Instructor's Bio:
Hi my name is Heather, and I have 11+ years of experience in English Language Arts education in grades 2, 6-12. Specialties: Reading Comprehension & Skills Development; Writing Process & Composition. Creative Writing & Writer's Notebook. Trained in A.P. English Language & Composition. I have a passion for writing and hope that I can instill that passion in my students.
