Description

Welcome to our class on China's Forbidden City, designed especially for children! In this class, we will take a virtual tour of one of the world's most fascinating historical sites and explore the rich history and culture of imperial China. Throughout our journey, we will discover the secrets of the Forbidden City and learn about the emperors who once lived within its walls. We'll explore the palace's stunning architecture and artwork, including the intricate carvings and beautiful gardens that made it a symbol of power and prestige.

In the heart of the ancient city of Beijing lies a Middle Kingdom gem. Built almost 600 years ago, the Forbidden City is the largest palace in the world with an endless display of treasures collected by the 24 emperors who resided there. The Forbidden City is the epitome of Chinese history and culture. Join us as we explore the history of and daily life inside this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Students will explore its 14-year construction from more than 100,000 laborers, and learn the routine of life behind the secure walls very few were ever allowed inside. Lives of emperors, treasures, and the splendor of what is now called the Palace Museum will be on full display, including videos from documentaries.

Mr. Sam is an excellent teacher. He provides feedback and encourages the students. He enjoys his students and engages every student in a positive way. He gets them involved in reading along with him, asks questions to see if they are understanding what they are reading, engages them in discussions, and explains the meaning of the words. He prepares his classroom material for public speaking classes and makes the classroom so joyful for kids. He assigns work to kids and gives them his feedback for their improvements. I would highly recommend his classes. My child says, \" Mr. Sam is the best!\"

Sam, is great with the kids! He made them laugh and kept them engaged! My son enjoyed the class. I feel like it would have been more beneficial if it was a weekly class for a few more weeks. But I do feel like it was a very good class for him.

Pamela says:

My son has been homeschooled since 4 years old and has never been to public school. The class gave him somewhat of a classroom experience with kids similar around his age. Most classes that he has taken didn’t require him to participate, but this one did. This made him very nervous, but it also boosted his confidence. The instructor has excellent teaching skills. I really liked how he engaged students and he also had excellent communication skills. He gave great accommodations which boosted my son’s confidence even more than before! A great addition to boost student learning in addition to regular schooling. Excellent addition for students who are homeschooled like my son.

Daveron says:

He also gives his students challenging assignments and provides them feedback for improvements. My son has a great time in Mr. Sam\'s class. His classes fill up quickly. He is truly a gifted teacher who inspires his students to excel. My son is still going to take Mr. Sam\'s public speaking classes. I strongly recommend Mr. Sam’s classes. Thank you Mr. Sam!
