Instructor Bio:
My name is Aaron and I am here to offer your child a master-level chess education. As a professional educator, I have taught in every capacity and have developed my skills as an educator to facilitate rapid academic improvement in all of my students. I bring myself and my background into my teaching experience, I teach from a historical context. Chess is a lot of history, from the players, their contributions to theory, and the moves they made, it all makes sense from a historical context. From this perspective, I believe I have found the most effective teaching strategy for aspiring chess players. Your child will thrive under my tutelage. What I want is for your child to learn the art and craft of chess which will develop their learning, memory, reasoning and logic, and long-term planning skills. This can only help develop their other academic pursuits and success. Chess is a cognitive sport. I play sports and treat chess no differently. I will teach your child to appreciate chess in this way too. The competitive nature of the game will help stimulate their motivation in all other aspects of their academics too.
