Over four days, students in grades 4-6 (or 7-8 for advanced topics) will dive into the fascinating adaptations that help animals survive and thrive. From the art of camouflage to blend in with the environment to the fantastic ability of regeneration and even the glow of bioluminescence, each class will showcase a unique superpower in the animal kingdom.
In this 60-minute-per-day course, students will engage with core science concepts like adaptation, evolution, and ecosystems while discovering incredible creatures and their unique abilities. Through discussions, hands-on activities, and video demonstrations, young scientists will understand how these adaptations work and their importance in nature. Whether they’re future biologists or just curious animal lovers, students will leave each class with newfound knowledge and excitement for science!

Note: The instructor will clarify some fundamental yet commonly confused concepts: evolution, adaptation, natural selection, and speciation (degree of depth commensurate with grade level and relevance).
