Stanford-Binet 5 Test Identifies Brilliant Children
There are numerous intelligence quotient tests that have been used over the years to identify young children with high IQ scores. Few have received the same news coverage of the Stanford-Binet test however.
The Stanford-Binet 5, the latest version of the IQ assessment test developed in the early 1900s in France, continues to be used by many schools to identify children with high IQs in order to get them into gifted and talented programs at a very early age.
Highly intelligent children who are not identified early on can lose interest in school, becoming bored with the standard classroom work that challenges their classmates who are of average intelligence. Children who are gifted must be challenges in order to further develop their skills and abilities and in order to ensure they do not fall behind.
