There are many places to find practice questions for the OLSAT test and sites like Tests.com have consolidated the list for everyone! As you know, the OLSAT test is given around the country and in spots like New York City for the admission to the uber competitive gifted and talented program that starts in Kindergarten. The OLSAT test isn’t without its critics since there have been complaints the test does have cultural bias when it comes to testing younger kids who may not have a traditional upbringing in the United States and may not have English as their primary language spoken in the household.  In New York City this year less students qualified for the gifted and talented program since the OLSAT test now accounts for fifty percent of the test while the NNAT®-2 test counts for the other fifty percent. Last year, the Otis-lennon® test only accounted for 35% and now with the additional fifteen percent in play less students qualified and there seems to be a trend that shows students who live in areas of New York City that don’t predominately speak English scored lower than predominantly English only speaking areas.  The change in the score distribution made only 26% of the kids qualify (which is still a high number) compared to 34% last year. This means that one out of every four kids who took the exam this year did qualify for a seat vs. one out of three last year.
