Supporting Early Gifted Children Through Play: A Hands-On, Play-Based Session for Parents

Some questions parents ask themselves:
  • Is my child gifted?
  • Or is my child just really bright?
  • What clues should I be looking for in my child to determine if he or she is gifted?
  • What does advanced ability look like in a young child?
  • What clues or qualities might I notice that would suggest early ability?
Find out the answers to these questions and more. You’ll hear expert Dr. Julia Osborn divulge her secrets not known to the general public on how to identify gifted and talented children from an early age. Trust us, you WON’T want to miss what Dr. Osborn has to say on this topic! We’ll even have a hands-on workshop where you can discuss with other parents your own child’s unique gifts and talents. During the workshop world renowned experts tell you how to manifest your child’s talents through the world of expressive play and exploration.

You have a “hunch” your child is gifted but now you can hear from the experts to see what they have to say! Space is extremely limited to the first 40 parents so make sure you reserve your seat today. Due to the topic we request absolutely no children attend event.

Dr. Julia Osborn, a psychologist who specializes in gifted children, will explore the qualities often recognized early and offer concrete actions to support them. This hands-on workshop will help parents understand and support their young children through play-based strategies and Reggio-inspired examples, from Tribeca Community School’s program director Kristen Pallonetti. The hands-on portion will focus on children ages 18 months to 5 years.

The location for this event is at the Downtown Community Center at 120 Warren Street between Greenwich Street and West Street in Tribeca. Register today.
