NYC Parents Still Waiting on OLSAT Test Results!

Tensions are running high as New York City parents are anxiously awaiting the OLSAT test results from the New York City department of education. Once the results are sent (which according to the dept. of ed. web site is mid-April), your child will need to score in the 90th percentile or above to be eligible for one of the district-wide programs or in the 97th percentile or above to be eligible for the city-wide G&T program. Keep in mind, historically children who didn’t score in the 99th percentile didn’t make it into the city-wide gifted program due to the shear amount of other children applying who made the very highest score.

If you’re a NYC parent let us know how it goes through the stressful school selection process.
